Some of the best days of my life:

Chogyal Rinpoche retreat in Pharping

I recently went for a three-days retreat in Pharping, Nepal, accompanied by my Chinese students who are undergoing a Vajrayana Meditation program of three years, three months, and three days under my guidance. PHARPING, a town south of Kathmandu, is a very important site for Vajrayana practitioners– even as important as Bodhgaya, because it is where the second Buddha, Guru Padmasambhava, attained the state of perfect enlightenment.

The Aarya Tara School, founded by the wonderfully kind world renown singer and social worker Ani Choying , is also In Pharping. There are more then 80 young nuns attending classes there, only adding to the joy and peacefulness of the school and its grounds. It was here that Ani Choying let my students and I practice our short retreat.

As soon as I reached the Arya Tara School, a few young ani came to my room and said, “Rinpoche-la, we nuns would also like to learn meditation from you! Please teach us!” I was delighted to hear of their interest in learning, and of course I wanted to help. More than happy to share my meditation knowledge and experience with them, we designed a meditation program for three days, which we just finished yesterday morning. I am very happy, and proud of you all.

Thank you Ani Choying and young nuns for your warm welcome, and for letting us stay and practice in your beautiful place. Beautiful days, beautiful memories. I miss you all. Wish you always happy as you are.
Thank you!
