The 3rd of October 2015 was a very special day for me, my Nepal, and for my Nepalese friends.

It was my first time giving a public mediation course in Nepal and also the very first time in my life that I taught meditation in Nepali.

Bodhisattva Swami Anand Arun,
With deep gratitude I Thank you for gracing the event with your presence.

After the two major earthquakes that struck Nepal this spring, we, Nepalese, have been through great pain and difficulties, psychologically as well as economically. A few months ago one of my Nepalese friends sent me a Facebook message that said: “Rinpoche, me and my husband are going through a very difficult time, we lost our house and our child in the earthquake. My only child, she was everything to us. We lost her and lost everything. Rinpoche, please help us, is there any meditation we can practice to help us overcome this pain?” When I read this message my eyes filled up with tears. I received many similar messages from other Nepalese friends. That’s when I decided to teach meditation in Nepal, in Nepali.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. I am very happy that we were able to come together for such an event. After yesterday’s program some people came up to me and said: “Rinpoche, thank you very much for today. You solved our inner problem and healed our wounds. We learned a lot today.”

This heartfelt gratitude was more than I could have wished for. You can’t understand how happy I am to share my knowledge with all of you.
“Meditation makes one’s mind beautiful.”
